Think anti-wrinkle injections and fillers are just for the ladies? Think again...
If I had a pound for every time a male client said that he was only here because "my wife made me come..."!
Truth is, male clients make up a great deal of our clients here at The Skin Spa Cheshire. You might already have heard of the term 'Brotox', used as a way of describing a range of aesthetic treatments for men.
As is the case for women, men have experienced a shift in their perceptions of age and ageing. How we define 'old' has changed considerably. With greater knowledge of health and fitness, we are keeping ourselves fitter and stronger, so that men in their 40s, 50s and 60s are still up for lad's nights out, stag dos, cycling weekends and other fun activities. Our bodies are holding up, but what about our faces?
Unfortunately, testosterone and the increased muscle bulk in men means that by and large, their facial movements are stronger and their skin 'thicker', meaning that deeper lines tend to develop- think Gordon Ramsey. For a while now, our gay clients have cottoned onto the fact that anti-wrinkle injections can have a skin smoothing effect without looking obvious or making them look plastic. And in the last few years our straight clientele have seen the effects of anti-wrinkle injections in their girlfriends and wives and realised they wanted to take advantage of this too.
Our male clients are accountants, marketing directors, designers, to name but a few... they not only want to look good, but they often have jobs where they need to present at meetings and conferences, and they want to look their best.
As medically qualified doctors, we adhere to strict confidentiality with all our patients. We appreciate that our male patients might feel a bit more uncomfortable or embarrassed about coming for treatment, but you can rest assured that we will be professional and understanding. Its why we have male clients coming from all over Cheshire and Manchester, not just Bramhall and Cheadle Hulme.
There are a few ways we can help make you more comfortable:
Firstly our Cheadle Hulme clinic room is home based, so any onlookers would assume you were popping in to see a friend.
Secondly, to arrange your consultation feel free to drop us a text message or a Whatsapp. We can arrange and book the consultation this way rather than on the phone. You can of course still call if you prefer to speak to us, we just know from experience that lots of our clients prefer to message us instead.
Finally, at the consultation we can discuss the option of gradual treatment effects, so that any changes are not immediately noticeable to others.
